If you have ever visited the home of someone whose taste is spot-on, you usually remark upon the kitchen. Homeowners with a great sense of style need not be wealthy; they tend to know what they like and carry it out with well-chosen features and materials. Behind many memorable kitchens is an exciting partnership between the owner and a top-rated kitchen designer. And it starts with an in-depth consultation.
Many historic homes have undergone exquisite restoration, but the effect deflates quickly when narrow kitchens, outdated cabinets and dingy floors scream turn of the 19th century. A kitchen today can both fit today’s lifestyle while keeping true to the ambiance of the period – in the hands of a highly skilled designer with resources, training and a creative eye.
What do you need to bring to a kitchen remodeling consultation?
Please bring basic measurements or floor plans of the space, photos of your present kitchen, and all those pictures of dream kitchens you have collected from the internet and magazines. If possible, make sure all decision makers are present to save time and avoid miscommunication down the road.
At the meeting we will get to know you, help you set priorities and design goals, and show you the many styles of cabinets and create a budget guide. The focus is on you: Getting to know your taste, lifestyle and needs for your kitchen or bath remodel.
Our designers are good listeners with a mind like a chalk board: Waiting for you to fill it with ideas, even some that might seem “out there.” The initial consultation is a time to just chat about ideas and to make you aware of the many details that your project will involve.
You and your designer will discuss your everyday needs, such as the desire for more space or how to get the most out of your kitchen’s layout.
We will discuss:

When you call for your appointment we will send you a package telling you what you need to bring for your design consultation appointment. We ask that you bring basic measurements or floor plans of the space, photos of your present kitchen, and all those pictures of dream kitchens you have collected from the internet and magazines.
